*shroud (see

*knob-headed bolts to replace collimation screws on primary
*UTA extension plate (plastic is OK) to extend UTA on side opposite focuser to prevent light from entering bottom of eyepiece over the end of the tube.
#

*adjustable weight system to balance heavy eyepiece/Paracorr, etc.
*If rotating the UTA to allow right-hand control of scope, the finder has to be moved to the other side of the focuser
*rotate the focuser so the knobs are at a 45 degree angle so they are on either side of the focuser and conveniently located over most of the scope's altitude travel
*Mark/number the pole pairs and scope parts so reassembly always uses
the same poles in the same orientation. This will significantly reduce collimation time.

Etiquetas adhesivas de colores...#*make sure secondary is not squeezed by plastic housing. If it is, sand the plastic so the mirror fits more loosely. This will reduce astigmatism in the scope if it's there.
* measure the center dot/ring on the primary to make sure it's centered to 0.01" (or better if possible. At this ratio, perfect collimation requires the dot be perfectly centered. Move the dot if necessary, or, preferably, replace it with a Catseye triangle (best collimation tools are also from Catseye Collimation).
*buy a slew of high-end eyepieces to enjoy the f/5 views without astigmatism at the edge of the field.
That last one will be the most enjoyable mod, but the most enxpensive.
